Excellent and comprehensive introductory text
This book provides a very comprehensive introduction to electrical power engineering including power generation, machines and power electronics. The text is well provided with illustrations and worked examples. It is very well-suited to the needs of engineering students who require some knowledge of the subject but who will not be power engineering specialists.

Good Power Electronics Book
I am studying Mechatronics, and there are many modules on the course which require an understanding of power electronics. The book is concise and gives worked examples of different motors, control electronics and inverters. Also works in 1 2 and 3 phase, and explains phase shifts and imaginary numbers very well.,

Readable, well-presented and comprehensive
This is a great book for anyone who needs to go in-depth into the world of electric motors. It covers all the basics about electricity and magnetism that you need to go on and fully understand how transformers and electric motors work. There is also a good section about power transmission, distribution and use.

I get the feeling this is one of those books I'll be referring to in years to come!
