The perfect introduction to physical oceanography5
This is the perfect introduction to someone studying the subject for the first time. I covers all the foundation material in a clear and precise manner. The diagrams are easy to uderstand but sometimes the symbols are not te standard ones used in physics so it can get confusing. Also there is not always a clear explination of where the formula comes from. This aside the book does give good explinations of the theory such as Ekman Spirals or deep ocean circulation.
