A gem of a book4
That World War II started with Germany's invasion of Poland 1st September 1939. This has been rightfully disputed by the Chinese since they had bben fighting the Japanese for 6 years at the time and the conflict would not end until Japan surrendered to the allies in 1945.

It was a hateful war, with atrocities committed throughout. It was also a time of great turmoil and chaos for the Chinese people, Interesting Times of the supposed the Chinese Curse. In human lives the cost was great and Japan for all its military might never had the resources to be able to win.

This book focuses on this conflict and it is surprising to see how hard it is to find a book on the subject. The style of the book is a little dated as is its form but it manages to paint the larger picture in broad strokes brilliantly.

For anyone looking for a book on the Sino-Japanese War I recommend this book, since it is hard to come by I bought it through amazon marketplace (available from these sellers: Link) and if you have never tried the marketplace I have laready bought several hard to find books through their service and been satisfied with the results.
