Essential Addition To Poetry Collection
This comprehensive book contains almost one thousand pages of poetry including the popular 'Birds, Beasts and Flowers', 'Look we have come through' and 'Pansies'.
Lawrence had a rare gift for creating unique poetry. His work is passionate and deeply philosophical. Significantly, he was a critic for a new era; despairing of industrialism and materialism. His writing forces our eyes open to the natural world; to the fact that we are naturally connected to the cosmos and not to a machine. There is beauty and there is power and although there is also bitterness, if it were not for the passion of the man, we would not benefit from his genius art.
