An intimate birth-to-death portrait of reggae superstar Bob Marley told by the woman who brought him into this world and to whom he spoke his last words on his deathbed. It covers such topics as his embracing Rastafarianism (and his conversion of his mother), his views on sex and marijuana, his struggle with cancer and the battles for the estate after his death. An interesting, different look at Marley's life
Coming from his mother's viewpoint, it's nice to see a different perspective on his life. It's an easy read and does'nt take long to read cover to cover. Bob's mum also speaks in detail about his last days having treatment in Germany which is a real eye opener. Definately worth reading.
This is the best Marley book
This is the one you want, trust me. If you enjoy Bob Marley's music or you're just intrigued by this amazing Rasta man then this book is for you. Legalize it fool's.
Holla!
What better person to tell you about Bob than his mother.
I have been a Bob Marley fan for 10 years now and i have read a lot of books about Bob's life and i can honestly say that this is the BEST book i have read. It provides in-depth details about his life, his family and Haile Selassi. Mother B (Cedella Booker) tells us what growing up in Nine Miles was like for Bob, the struggles and tough decisions she made as a mother and her own happy memories of Bob.
