Customer Reviews

Great book!5
Jill Murphy did not only write each of her books but she illustrated her books as well! She started making books, writing stories and doing drawings to match, at the age of six, (she did actually staple it)! Jill Murphy wrote her first (proper) book at the age of 18 and five publishers (adults of course) rejected it saying it was boring. So, she put it away for six whole years but when she did get it published, children loved it and it is very popular, so, she was right and they were wrong! Her books have been turned into episodes on TV. The cover of this book is a photograph that was taken during the production the programme to match this book.
Here is a bit about the story: There is a new girl in school, called Enid Nightshade, and she is Mildred's responsibility! She looks dull and boring but she is worse then her friend, who will be expelled if another thing goes wrong! Will she make it through the whole term (it is only the start of the term)...
I would positively rate this book 9.5/ 10 and would strongly recommend it to anyone in the mood for some magic and humour!

This book was really great fun to read.5
It is my favourite book in the world. Enid joins Mildred and Maud in this book. Enid becomes very good friends with Mildred, so Maud does not get into too much trouble anymore. Enid and Mildred get stuck in a cupboard and find their way out (using a broomstick) - straight into the school assembly! Miss Hardbroom was not amused. It is a geat book to read if you, like me, love the Worst Witch series. Thank you Amazon for getting this book to me so quickly - I'm reading the next book now.

It is a very magical book brill for witch lovers.5
The worst witch is perfect for any age.It has loads of funny comments; after I had read this book I really wanted to be a witch but a bit more sucessful than Mildred! I have quite a few witch and wizard stories and many have been the sort which you now aren't true but this one you could believe. Miss Hardbroom puts you in a sort of good mood and sort of a scared mood at the same time. Mildred is funny, witty and definately weird! Some of her comments make you cry because you are laughing so much. All togther it is the top!
