After falling overboard from his longboat, Sigurd the Viking finds himself in modern-day Flotby - a small English seaside town. Finding refuge in the aptly named Viking Hotel, Siggy's attempts to embrace modern ways end in disaster. His attempt at romance is no better off as even the course of true love doesn't run smoothly when Siggy's involved!

There is a ViKing in My Bed
My 5 year old son and I have just finished reading There is a Viking in my Bed and found the entire book great fun. We laughed out loud together and really enjoyed the whole expereince. Each chapter brings to life the character of the Sigurd the Viking and how his Viking ways dont quite fit into todays life. There are 6 main characters which vividly come to life through the pages of the book. The plot is simple yet gripping.
A captivating book that would appeal to any child of 5+, we were compelled to finish it.
Childrens story book
This is a brilliantly written story book. The children absolutely love it. I can guarantee a quiet class whilst reading this to them. They anticipate the next encounter with the 'Viking'.
