Average customer review:Product Description
Originally planned as a moral fable, using parody to attach chivalric romances, the adventures of Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza gained depth and complexity in the course of writing. There is a note on the translation and explanatory notes on the text.

A wonderful book of bittersweet ideas
This book is so wonderful. It is so full of hope against the odds. Bittersweet and emotional to read, it gives you a renewed outlook on what reality should be. Is it better to be insane and happy? Or sane and know the harshness of reality.
Magical Tales Within Tales
Unfortunately this wondrous collection of tales has been turned into film, so many times, that they have been reduced to a bunch of crass cliched images. What the films skimp over, the text gives you in full living detail and a sort of universal truth about being alive is revealed, in side-splitting hilarity. The relationship between Quixote and Panza, is very like Laurel and Hardy and the action of the former, is bound to lead to serious discomforture for the latter. I just can't recommend this book enough and reading it is life-enhancing, to anyone who loves to read and loves to dream. Wonderful and rightly a classic to be read by every generation.
So discriptive it's like watching a film
Having been an avid reader,I lost interest in reading books, and haven't read a book for several years, but as soon as I started this book I found I was unable to put it down.It is a very interesting book which brings the characters to life.Don Quixote was always a favorite character, but I feel that I know him personally through this book
