An absolute must-have, exquisitely written and funny!
Poignant, moving, sad and funny all in the one book! This is the kind of book you can re-read again and again, and still it retains it's freshness. McGough's perceptions are so unusual and clever, and yet his poetry is still very "accessible" for want of a better word - very easy to read, maybe so-much-so that you won't be able to get enough of him. Blazing Fruit is a well put together choice selection of poems from just a few books out of his seemingly immense back catalogue. Enjoy it!!
