From its first publication, this book was acclaimed as the standard text on this field of the law. Now in its fourth edition, it has been completely revised and expanded to take into account the new developments of the last five years. The book lays out both the framework of commercial law and the application of fundamental principles to typical business transactions. This unique combination of theory and practice is supplemented by specimen documents, tables of statutes, cases and conventions.

Customer Reviews
Absolutely Wonderful.
Goodes book "Commercial law" 2nd Edition is quite interesting. It encapsulates the basics of the commercial law transaction,if not the whole of it.
As a Postgraduate student of Commercial Law in the University of Wales Swansea,i use the book extensively and the clarity and ease with which i could understand the book greatly helps.
I find the chapters on Money and Payments equally interesting. As a Lawyer,i am not quite knowledgeable in the legal characteristics of money but Using Prof Goode`s book has greatly enhanced my understanding of the concept.
Particularly i want to commend the author and the publishers for the clarity in production.
As a Postgradute Student in a foreign land,i can say that Goode`s book is sine qua non amongst the commercial law textbooks i have come across in England.
Keep up the good work,Prof.
A must-have text
On first sight this looks like a nightmare of a text. It is huge! However, stick with it. Once you overcome your initial fears about the size of this text, you'll come to realise that it's as close to being the leading authority on this subject area as it's possible to get. It's also useful across the board with other subjects whether it's International Commercial e-commerce or strightforward Commercial Law. This is one of the best purchases that you'll make this year.
Excellent undergraduate introduction to commercial law
This is an excellent undergraduate introduction to commercial law.
It would also be suitable for pre-reading before an LLM for those with no prior knowledge of commercial law.
