Product Description

Laura is amazed when her baby brother George starts talking to her when he's only four weeks old, particularly as he sounds like a grown-up! It's a big secret to keep from their parents and the rest of the family and leads to all sorts of comic confusion until George's first birthday - when he makes a speech to his startled family.

Great stuff5
The Story plot:
George was a very special baby - he could talk from the moment he was born; he kept it a secret until he was (exactly) six weeks old when he told his seven year old sister, Laura. Find out what happens when the baby starts parrot talking...

About the author:
Dick King Smith is a famous children's author who writes mainly terrific tales about animals. He is the creator of Babe the Gallant pig, which has been turned into an extraordinary movie; Dick King Smith lives on a quiet farm in Gloucestershire and has been writing since 1978. When I am older, I wish to do research on his wonderful work because he is one of my all time favourite authors.

Rating and Recommendation:
I really admire Dick King Smith's ability to write superb stories about amazing animals but surprisingly this was about a child who did not have a pet or any animals near by. I would rate this book 10/ 10 and would recommend it to all children who like extraordinary babies. I will put this book on my all-time favourite list.

Dick King-Smith does it again!5
Another wonderful book; this one was actually my favorite as i was growing up. The concept of a baby who was born with an adult's vocabulary and mentality, helping his older sister with schoolwork (for example to learn her times tables), and in return being helped with the difficulties of being a baby. The story culminates with George's birthday party by which time his parents have grasped what an astonishing baby he is, whilst the other relatives do not yet know. This story is massive fun!

Excellent, imaginative story5
This was an ideal book to read to a bright 4/5 year old ... just before she could read for herself.
