Much underrated
This is the best hymn book I have seen to date. It is loosely based on the old 1925 version but has been completelty rewritten to cut out the dead wood and includes all the modern hymns you could possibly want as well as the best of the more traditional hymns. The music scores are in sensible keys and are clearly written and some have alternative tunes to the hymns.

BBC Songs of Praise, full music edition
This is a lovely hymn book. It has most of the well known hymns and songs, both old and new, and is very well indexed. However, it has a smaller number of hymns than many other hymn books, approximately 400, so you may want something with a little more choice.
