Misleading last review
I needed to respond to the last reviewer. The purpose of this is to correct the misleading comment by the last reviewer; it is not a review of the book.
Did it not strike the last reviewer that it was odd that the book started half way through? I can think of 2 explanations:
1. He has a defective copy (then why not return it to Amazon and get a non-defective copy?);
2. He has a Servier (a drug company) provided copy of the handbook. Servier provided free copies of the handbook to junior doctors a few years' ago. They divided the handbook up into 2 halves - a diabetes handbook and an endocrinology handbook - and distributed each half separately. Perhaps the reviewer only has one of the 2 books. They are not buy-able, as they were provided free of charge by Servier...
As far as the book is concerned, I would say that there are very few pocket sized books on diab/endo around. In fact when I last looked, this was the only one.
Concise but lot of important information
Fantastic hand book, lots of information with current evidence in the 2nd edition.Recommend to all Endocrinology trainees. Book delivered was new and in good condition.
Misleading Product
What was advertised as Oxford Handbook of Endocrinology & Diabetes - turned ot to have started from Pg 510. This is apparently part 2: Nowhere was this mentioned in product information. This was a definite example of misleading customers, and cheating them. Not expected from a site as respectable as Amazons.
