The book that bridges the gap5
Towards Proficiency is an excellent course book and it is the only one I know of that is actually designed for students starting a CPE course. It's perfect for classes in the year after Cambridge First Certificate, or other exams at that level. The grammar consolidation is effective, as is the new language input and the exam task training. The Workbook is useful too, with lots of testing material, plenty of good vocabulary work and an exam revision section. Highly recommended.
