The best way to get a 7 in Biology!!
I have just taken the 2002 Biology High Level IB Exam. I used Allott's guide to revise during the previous two weeks. Absolutely all the points in the syllabus are covered in the book. It is concise, detailed and very well explained. I am sure that I will get a 7 (the highest mark) in Biology, because I knew the exact answer for all the questions in the exam. The author shows that he knows very well how the IB examinations work, and what the examiners expect from students. English is not my first language, but I was able to understand everything, it is written in a very easy way. The book saved a lot of the time I would have spent resuming all that I had learned during two years.
great piece of work!!!
I believe that every IB biology student should own this book. Especially those who take HL biology, as I do. I found it extremely useful!!
There were however some minuses: some points in the syllabus is not entirely covered, and when there in the syllabus are different options of for example bacterial diseases you study, the author of the book has chosen another bacterial disease than what we learned in class, so I used my notes in addition.
But that is merely trivial!
BUY THIS BOOK!!!
Necesity
This book is essential for any student planing to do IB HL maths. Although some of the drawings are not to practical, it explains the objectives perfectly.
Although some teachers say that you can only get a 4 with this book, it is not true. This is the perfect book for studying for the actual IB exam and for semester exams.
