Great!
The vast majority of A level Maths resources out there are tailored for Edexcel or for OCR, and AQA specific textbooks are very hard to come by - so this textbook was a godsend. It explains all the little bits of the syllabus, so it is great if you're a person who wants to learn things really thoroughly. There are also oodles of past exam questions, again all from AQA, so that you know exactly the type of questions you may get. The only downside is that some of the explanations are badly worded and hard to understand - but that is only occasional, and in those cases I just supplemented my studies by using other sources.
Recommended - and got me 100/100 for both C1 and C2!
Very vague
I brought this book because my son was doing the AQA course at school, Manchester, however when looking at the book he found it very vague, there were not enough explanations so therefore he did not understand it and therefore ended up buying another book
Dumbed down math
This is a set text book for A level Maths AQA.
It is very clearly written, and as you would expect for schools, nothing is left to chance, Huge number of worked problems, and graded exercises
I am being forced to retake Maths A level because the one I got in 1968 doesnt count, and this is tailor made. The advice I was given was not to work through this book by myself as there were things I would have to be taught, but I have yet to meet one.
This is a set book for a set course, so should be shunned by anyone not doing this A level. - unlike for example course notes for Shakespeare's plays which will give you a better insight even if you arent doing Eng Lit O Level.
