Average customer review:Product Description
The Oxford Revision Guides series builds on the fact that pictures are easier to memorize than words. Each topic is summarized on a single page using annotated diagrams and concise notes with a full index for easy reference. Expert authors have taken the content of the AS and A Level specifications and presented them in a refreshingly clear and concise format. Simple illustrations are used to present information in a particularly clear and memorable way.

You wont 'just pass' with this one!
If you intend to use this book to revise for AS / A2 Level computing on the OCR Syllabus... Go for it!
I have been through several other books of this nature, including the 'In a Week' and 'Revise' books, and they simply do NOT compare.
This book manages to cover all the areas the other ones miss, and the unique diagramatically aided approach assists the understanding of otherwise complex topics.
This book is also targeted directly at answering the types of questions you will typically get in an exam. Where other revision books, for example tell you what an Inkjet Printer is... this book goes one step further by giving you a clear table of advantages and disadvantages in comparison to the other types as well as highlighting key features.
Yes! I know this book lacks colour (actually, it has no colour in it, at all), and that the layout is very simple, and that this can be off putting in the beginning, but, after you get into it you will see why this style is perfect for a book of this kind.
This book also covers, to the best of my knowledge, ALL the material for ALL the AS and A2 unit examinations.
Basically, if you want a book which is easy to read, follow, understand properly and which maximises your potential, enabling you not only 'just to pass' but actually achieve the grade you are capable of; Buy This Book!
none but the best
This is really a great and comprehensive book dealing with almost everything in ICT. I highly recommend it.
One word of caution. This book may be much longer than you would expect in a so-called 'revision guide' If you want to go through it just for the purpose of revision, be sure to allocate enough time. For me personnaly, a week or a few days has not been enough.
not really through pictures
I bought this book as its title "ICT through diagrams" implied pictures and diagrams as I prefer picture to explain concepts - However, it does not have any pictures that explain concepts - if you look through the pages each page is 98% words with a tiny diagram joining the words together - and doesn't add any benefit at all. its like trying to read a dictionary - its really hard to understand if you like a visual approach
