Product Description

This edition of "EC Legislation" contains a comprehensive and up-to-date selection of the most important EU legislation. By carefully selecting only the provisions actually needed for university courses in EU law, the book is kept to a compact and manageable size. As there is no commentary, the book may also be used in examinations. Blackstone's statute books cover all the core law subjects and many options. The books have been designed on the basis of extensive research into the content of courses, and contain all the necessary statutes and statutory instruments. All the volumes for the main law subjects and minor options are updated annually to ensure that they are completely up to date with all the important developments in the law.

Customer Reviews

Brilliant text...do you really need it?3
As a degree student studying European Law, I purchased this book to provide an authoratative text on the various European Treaties that seem to be inexorably leading to the proposed European Constitution.

The book is excellent reference material, easy to read - it provides all the treaty articles as well as the most important directives. But do you actually need to buy it?

If you're a professional, then I'd assume the answer would be yes. As a student, you are only going to need a handful of articles and you might be better served going to your lectures and paying proper attention. In my experience an understanding of the principles behind the articles are of far more use than the actual text - just make sure you're comfortable applying the articles, and if you can remember their numbers you won't need this book to get a first in your exams.

If you've got the money, then buy it. Otherwise, you needn't bother!
