The English Legal System - A Solid Start
I bought this book for a friend's daughter who's doing law and a UK university - the book was strongly recomemdned by many people and I used Amazon to buy it as I knew they could supply it easily and at a good price. I wasn't proved wrong. The student in question loves the book and uses it all the time, and rates it as a great book and a solid source of information and guidance. It's served her well so far!
