Average customer review:Product Description
This new book offers an introduction to financial decision-making, covering key areas of financial management ranging from objectives through to investment financing and dividend policy. The emphasis is on "managing for value" which reflects a growing concern in the focus of modern business management. The book examines business finance from a managerial angle, integrating strategy in a way that has not been achieved yet in most other core finance texts. The material will be relevant to all types of business organisations, and examples are taken from Europe and around the world. Using up-to-date, topical case material, based upon real-life companies familiar to many students, the text analyses value-adding strategies and how practice compares with theory.

Business Finance: a Value Based Approach
is aimed primarily at those students with a limited finance background, but who are or will be involved in making strategic decisions with financial implications. This makes it suitable for use on many MBA programmes on shorter, practically-oriented modules in business or corporate finance, and also on business-related undergraduate degree programmes.
Both authors are based at Bournemouth University, School of Finance & Law.

Customer Reviews
At last, I understand finance!
The thing I really liked about this book was it was so readable! The text is full of upto date and interesting cases which are used to compare theory with practice. Even the more difficult areas are simply explained. The book is also broken up into easy-to-follow and manageable sections.
If like I was, you are struggling to pass a Corporate Finance exam, try this book. I even find myself watching the business news these days!
