Ferrari, the name itself evokes the world of speed, a world of fast cars, heroic deeds and glamour. This is the story of the man behind the name. Enzo Ferrari never contributed as much as a single sketch to the design of the product that carries his name, other men did that for him. Yet his towering ambition and strategic genius enabled him to outlast his main rivals and to ensure that nothing could diminish the allure of the legend that he created. This book goes back to Enzo's origins and traces his remarkable rise to prominence.

Customer Reviews
Thoroughly researched and highly addictive
I knew having read 'Racers' by Williams to leave a full day free to read this book cover to cover. It is highly addictive. Key is the writing style and the involvement you feel for Ferrari the man and his passion. Not only does the book chronicle the extraordinary mans life, but it provides a valuable perspective on the development of Grand Prix racing in the 20th century - its glories and its sadness. Do not expect to pick up this book for your coffee table - the images are in the text and in the imagination. A first class book.
