An Excellent Book
This book has been a life saver to me. Norman Lowe has clearly and concisely dealt with British History in a way no other similar text even gets close to. His thorough but undoubtedly simple approach makes this book accessible to all levels whether a background reference for First Year Undergraduates or as a central text for A-level students, it is certainly not a book to be without.
A gem; This book is the missing link that students ache for
This book is not brand new, but Lowe has included new historical theories in each revision. This book is so concise yet amazingly simple. There surely is no other study aid that can provide students with all the arguments relating to modern British history or one that is so up to date with common syllabus's. This book is perfect for both A-level and first year undergraduates. For the general reader this book is very readable Lowe's use of primary source is particularly fascinating.
A fantastic guide for A-level students.
In this book Lowe works through all the key events in modern British history. This book is a must for any A-level student studying the topic.
