Spirituality with Boots On
This is a book about a walk from London to Rome and an inner journey that still goes on. I read it a few years ago, but remember sore feet; a lumpy, wet field shared with cows over night; welcoming, friendly people and very early morning starts. I was gratified to learn a Jesuit priest can succumb to the same doubts and weaknesses as the rest of us, and I was inspired to engage more fully in my own journey by Gerry's open-hearted honesty about his own. A good read for anyone interested in how other people find their way.
