Is belief in God a delusion? Is faith blind, or is there a reasonable case for Christianity?,
Bestselling author Scott Hahn explains the "how and why" of the Catholic faith, drawing from Scripture, his own struggles and those of other converts, as well as from everyday life and natural science. Hahn shows that reason and revelation, nature and the supernatural, are not opposed to one another; rather they offer complementary evidence that God exists.
Reasons to Believe unravels mysteries, corrects misunderstandings, and offers thoughtful, straightforward responses to common objections about the Catholic faith. It is the ideal book both for Christians who want to grow stronger in their faith and to share it with others, and for enquirers in search of a belief that satisfies both the mind and the heart.

Customer Reviews
The Catholic C.S.Lewis.
Recommended reading for anyone thinking of converting to the Catholic Faith, those who wish to know what Catholics really believe or believers who just want to strengthen their own faith. This is a solid work of Christian Apologetics that deftly builds from the sphere of 'Natural Theology'(reason) to that of revealed truth (revelation).
As you progress through the text you will learn, amongst other things, about Fideism, Presuppositionalism, the 'Five ways of Thomas Aquinas', Feuebach's critique, 'The Problem of Evil' and Church teaching on; signs and miracles, how the Bible relates to Catholicism, why Catholics don't pray to Saints or worship the Blessed Virgin Mary, Papal Infallibility (what it is and ,more importantly, what it is not) and how the Mother Church relates to 'the Kingdom of God'.
This is the first of Scott Hahns books I have read and it wont be the last! An intelligent articulate and deeply researched piece of work, excellent.
If you enjoy this book you may also be interested in the following titles:

a splendid intro
This is an excellent book to give to a non-catholic friend or poorly instructed Catholic. If read it will give them a coherent understanding of the Catholic position. Hahn's lively style and the succinct length of the book simply add to it's effectiveness.
