The historical adventures of the Third Foot and Mouth Regiment are documented in hilarious style as they battle to keep India as the jewel in the crown.
From the Author
Carry On Laughing
I am the author of six Carry On novels, and have had to stand up to scorching criticism from an army of Carry On buffs. Infamy, infamy ... they've all got it in for me! There have, thank goodness, also been many people who have come forward with encouraging comments. Meantime, Carry on Laughing!
Customer Reviews
The book perfectly captured the genre of the originals
The author is obviously a big fan of the original stories and seamlessly took us on to another level, by writing in a more contemporary manner, as befits the 'progress' which has been made in comedy since the sixties.
I was too young to really appreciate the originals the first time round, but can appreciate the simplicity of the humour without being offended by its 'political incorrectness'.
I would love to read more of this series. Any chance of new films being made? There is a wealth of British talent to fill the shoes of James, Windsor et all. Producers, take note. You don't have to produce another 'turkey' like 'Carry on Columbus'. And don't forget to use Mr Giller as a scriptwriter.
