Essential Macroeconomics Textbook
Probably the essential title on any graduate macro course, this book gives a thorough technical treatment of general macroeconomics and is a great reference tool. Since it is a general reference, it does lack a broad review of each topic (eg, it omits the Solow model from growth theory, slight coverage of the AK model) but does give exceptional clarity to the topics that are covered. More technical than Romer/Heidra & Van Der Ploeg, everything is explained mathematically with less reliance on diagrams than other similar textbooks. In summary, the best buy for the more advanced student.
Classic Graduate Level Macroeconomics Text
Despite the fact that the book is over 10 years old, it still remains as one of the most comprehensive textbook for graduate students in Macroeconomics.
The best evidence of this is its wide use as the primary text in numerous Masters level courses.
