A MUST-READ for BS students!!5
don't have time to read FT everyday? this is the best alternative you can have! it's a casebook, a database, overall, it's excellent!!!

Corporate Strategy in a learning-by-doing fashion5
Too often I have come across course books that devote a large number of pages on developing comprehensive conceptual frameworks only to find after having struggled through the theoretical underpinnings that only a small fraction of the theory is ever presented in illustrative real-life examples.

This book does not fall into this trap. Rather, each section of the book starts with a brief introduction to the underlying theory, continues with a number of FT articles and ends with case study questions. If you are that kind of person that prefer learning by doing (as I am) you will find this book of great value.

The book is well-written and is a parallel book to the theory book by Richard Lynch on Corporate Strategy. You might consider bying the Lynch book if you want/need a more elaborate presentation of the subject (the Lynch book seems to be one of the better on Corporate Strategy).

Business School Lecturer5
Theory is worthless without real life examples to illustrate it. In this book, the Bolivian-born professor easily combines the two. His case studies are well chosen, and bring the material to life. Equally, the articles make good source material for dissertation use. I commend it to anyone studying business strategy.
