Alan Melville - Taxation (FA 2004 edition)
I have bought Alan Melville's excellent book over the last several years. I am a lecturer in tax on professional courses at the University of Gloucestershire and always recommend the book to my students as a comprehensive and well written general reference for taxation students. The writing is clear and understandable and there are plenty of worked examples to illustrate the areas covered.
Although it may appear expensive if you can only afford one general text this should be the one.
As a practicing accountant it also comes in useful for those tricky client areas too!
taxation written in english!!
I bought this book as taxation was a major subject in my degree course.
I found taxation classes very demanding and confusing ans so i used this book a lot out of class to decode my lecture notes.
I found this particular taxation book the easiest for me to understand. It helped me a lot to understand the subject in a deeper sense.
good, easy to understand and very helpful.
