Thoroughly revised, this 6th edition promises to be the best yet. Over 600,000 students worldwide have used this best-selling book to understand and explore strategic management through their academic and professional careers.
Exploring Corporate Strategy has established a reputation as a pre-eminent textbook in its field, based upon the expertise of authorship, range of cases, depth of commentary and wealth of supporting resources.
The seventh edition builds on these strengths with the introduction of a new author, Richard Whittington. The enhanced coverage of international strategy and the resource-based view, as well as improved visual presentation ensure that this book continues to lead the way in exploring strategic management.
'Exploring Corporate Strategy is one of the outstanding texts in international management education. It combines clarity of structure and presentation with topical and enduring examples. It also has a depth of synthesis and critical reflection based on relevant research which is rare in textbooks.'

In particular the website is easily accessible, user friendly and provides a range of supplementary resources to engage and reinforce students' understanding of this complex area of study.'

Customer Reviews
If you want to learn about strategy, read this book.
The authors will guide you through a clear, concrete and concise strategic model, and by the time you finish reading it, you will understand everything you need to know about strategy.
If you are interested in the subject I would say is a 'must-read'.
An immensely practical guide to strategic planning.
In many books written about business by academics there is a huge gap between the theory propounded and the practical implementation within an organisation. This book neatly bridges that gap and lays out a process that can be applied to any for profit industry. It also offers a set of analytical tools that won't scare all those anti-academic senior managers. Essential for my MBA I use the book regularly in my work place.
Exploring Corporate Strategy
An excellent strategy book, well written and easy to follow. It covers most of the major aspects of strategy, though at time it does focus too much on change management. Brilliant none the less and a very good reference tool both practically and academically.
