Simple yet informative
This book sets to chart the contours of a revolutionary Christian Ethic by interpretating and revising the thought of two historical figures particularly in regard to their apocalypticism and utopianism. These are the Radical Reformation's Thomas Muntzer and the 17th century English Radical Gerrard Winstanley.
The book's major achievement is its clear exposition of the two thinker's work. The end result is a readable yet scholarly narrative that is also thought provoking (for instance I was challenged by Winstanley's thought on private property). In the conclusion Bradshaw compares these to contemporary theological-political radicalism, especially that of Liberation theology. This book will be a good read for all those interested in political theology. My recommendation: buy it!
