Excellent imaginative and fresh liturgical resource
This book was a real 'find'. Always on the look out for new ideas and fresh approaches to worship, this book fits the bill very well. Imaginative and rich rituals and symbolism, with suggestions for participation, covering several aspects of our lifes' journey : new beginnings; losses; the need to face hard times as well as liturgies for healing. The author also encourages us to celebrate eg the family; creation and our freedom to play! (We particularly like this one and I do mean play not pray!) There are Eucharistic liturgies which are rich in language and meaning for the principal festivals of Advent, Christmas,Good Friday, Easter and Pentecost. The Eucharistic Prayers are beautiful and inspirational and give much to ponder. The Affirmations of Faith throughout the book offer a rich variety of expression and I have found these to be quite versatile too i.e not just to be used in the liturgy for which it was written. All the liturgies are easily adaptable to your own setting and enable you to choose music/songs to suit your own community/congregation. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for those seeking to breathe new life into their worshipping communities.

Full of great ideas which are easy to change to suit.
A valuable resource.

No actual communion liturgies!
I purchased this book primarily because it claims to contain 'communion liturgies'. It doesn't. It includes all the elements of a communion service (such as prayers of confession, intercession, etc.) except the actual communion liturgies. Very disappointing.
