Customer Reviews
Paula does it again
I have read several books by Paula Gooder, and heard her speak many times, and she never fails to make her words interesting, informative and entertaining. As someone who works with Readers I wanted this book to get more of an insight into their unique ministry, one which unfortunately often ends up as someone who fills the gaps when clergy aren't available. The book certainly helped me to do that.
I would also recommend it for anyone who is trying to discern any vocation within the church. The second section of the book deals with this topic, and the advise given is also appropriate for those reflecting on a call to ordained ministry.
Overall an excellent read, as I would expect from Paula.
Reader Ministry
An excellent overview of Reader ministry, which should apeal not only to those who are considering taking this step, but also anyone who is already licensed. I'm approaching the end of my training and found it a helpful read.
