Customer Reviews

A fantastic book for anyone wanting to learn bridge5
This is a great book - it starts off the complete beginner, on Bridge-like games, and works it's way up to comlete Bridge. It includes many examples on all of the aspects that it covers, and even gives the answers to it's exercises in the back of the book. By the end of the book, the beginner has turned into a competent player, good enough to play in a duplicate Bridge session. Whatsmore, the book is not thousands of pages long... it condenses all the information it contains into a short, manageable book, which in turn are split up even further to small readable chapters. The information contained within each chapters is well set out so that upon reading it you will be able to memorize 2 or 3 key points that are VERY useful when playing the game of bridge.
I started off by reading this book, and I found it very easy to understand.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LEARN THE FANTASTIC, SOCIABLE AND ENJOYABLE GAME OF BRIDGE...

Brilliant!5
If you want to learn or improve your bridge to a respectable level, this is the book for you. There are plenty of exercises to get to grips with the ways of bidding and playing. The explanations are sound too.

This book has got to be in your library of bridge books.

Basic Bridge as Teaching Aid5
I have found this book excellent both as a self help and for teaching. As a new bridge teacher I use it for preparation & reference, the excercises are well thought out and are used both in the classroom and for homework. It is a book which is already well thumbed and will be increasingly so over the next few years.
