Definitive account of 1962 missile crisis5
Nathan's account of the Cuban Missile Crisis is an amazing read. A handy chrononlogical order of events from the tail end of WW2 through immaculate detail through the crisis itself and post crisis is invaluable in describing world events leading up to October 1962, how quickly it escalated and how the crisis was resolved. The detail in the text describing what happened, aspects of American Cold War policy and other events and effects surrounding the crisis is absolutely excellent, allowing you to fully understand what happened and it's context without the need to have prior knowledge of the Cold War. The text is clear and concise and I found it very easy to read and hard to put down.

If your interested in Cold War history or other significant world events then I thoroughly recommend that you read this book.
