i love my hair
i bought this wonderfull book for my little girl,who is mixed race ,she loves me to read it to her,it is a gracefully told story where her mum tells her, her hair is beautiful and you can wear it in any style you choose thats why shes lucky to have it

Every Black girl should have this book!
I bought this book for two of my god-daughters and they both loved it so much! Both mums told me that the children even slept with the book!
This book is much needed for little Black girls, not just here in the UK, but worldwide as it is a rare book which teaches self-acceptance through images as well as words.

excellent buy
I bought this book for my nieces in the Caribbean, both aged 7 years, and they absolutely love it. It's their favourite book out of several similar ones I've bought them. It's easy to follow, and they can both relate to the pictures and the story. Also, it's a board book which is great as the pages can't be ripped! Definitely a great self acceptance book for black or mixed race girls who might compare their hair to caucasian hair. Every home/school should have a copy!
