Editorial Reviews

From the Author
USA Today- "Business law guide is fun, informative" 8/11/97
I am very excited about the reaction to my new book. Working Woman called it "A readable, practical guide to business law for entrepreneurs" 10/97 Washington Lawyer said it's like PDR for lawyers and should be on every lawyer's desktop. My MBA students at Stanford Business School love this book as do executives in the Stanford Executive Program for Growing Companies. I had fun writing it and hope you find it as "fun, informative" as USA Today did (8/11/97).

Customer Reviews

Great book5
THIS is the information i've been struggling to find in so many different places. WOW, was i glad to find so much useful info all in one place. Very concise!!

Great reference, also fun to browse5
This book is a great reference that touches everything, taking the reader through the steps in the formation of a new company. And there are a lot of steps. But my favorite feature of the book is that it is easy to browse. Any page you open to has something interesting on it, and you can start reading there without needing to read everything that comes before. The book is stocked with short real-life examples (with the names changed) taken from the authors' own experiences as business lawyers. Separately, it has a running story of a fictitous start-up going through each of the stages dicussed. My idea of what's interesting may be influenced by the fact that I work for an eight-person start-up.
