A quick, fun read
"Night over water"'s unique characters, easy language, interesting plot and setting makes it very enjoyable to read. If you want something "light" to read, this should be your choice.

"An easy read"
It's been a while since I read it, but I confess to being just a little disappointed after Follett's superb "Pillars Of The Earth". Still, an easy read.

Better than expected
Having read his supposedly better books and having read the reviews for this one I enjoyed it much more than I expected. Follett's best books have a few strong characters, and you have sympathy for the 'baddies' as well as the good guys. This followed that outline and was set on a plane so the action was constricted and fast-moving. I still like some of his works e.g. The Pillars of the Earth much more but this is a good read, recommended for beach or airport reading as you'll get into it quickly.
