Abduction? Take it away...
This was my first (and possibly last) Robin Cook book which I purchased on impulse in the Airport on the way to a week's holiday in the sun. I should be more careful with my impulses.
The book starts out well with interesting, if unspectacular, scene setting. As an ex-SCUBA diver myself, I found the drilling and diving scenes good to read until the main characters reached the bottom of the sea. From here the story goes rapidly down hill and loses what little plot the book has. The characters are weak, but I kept going to the end hoping in vain that it would improve. As for the end? I'll not spoil it for anyone here, but what a let down it was.
Abduction - only for Robin Cook fans.
abduction
Absolutely fabulous read! I've always enjoyed Robin Cook books as they are cleverly written. This is a change from his usual subject being a little more 'science fiction' but once again meticulously researched and a gripping read! Chromosone 6 was good but this is even better. More like this please!!
Futuristic Jules Verne
The subjects of cloning and living forever are very real today. This novel takes them one step further so that we feel the consequences of scientific progress. A good captivating read bordering on the science fiction. Don't let the latter put you off. It is gripping and difficult to put down. Well written with an excellent ending.
