About the Author
Roger McGough is one of Britain's most well-known and best-loved poets. He was one of the Liverpool Poets in the sixties, and since then he has published over twenty-five books, including eighteen for children. He now lives in London and tours the country doing readings and workshops. ALL THE BEST: THE SELECTED POEMS OF ROGER MCGOUGH was the winner of the 2004 CLPE Poetry Award.

McGough does it again!
I have used the poems from this book with children aged from 7 to 11 years. The collection of poems is interesting and focus on the five senses individually and then finally a section focuses on the senses together. Some of the poems provide welcome inspiration for children to write their own poems.
Sensational! review
Bought this for use in school - ks2 literacy. Great range of poems, essential for the literacy unit but a really useful resource all round. The kids loved Greedyguts by Kit Wright...great collection
