A Gem of a Book
I first read this book about 10 years ago and it is excellent. One of the most useful books I have ever read. I really can't praise it enough. Peck gives a practical method of analysing and understanding poems along with many detailed examples.
My only criticism is that the book wasn't published until the year of my finals which was a little inconsiderate as I'm sure it would have made a difference.
