Average customer review:Product Description
This important new textbook offers clear and concise discussion of the key theoretical and practical issues that sexuality raises for social work. It examines how lesbian and gay politics have impacted on professional knowledge and practice and looks at the questions faced by social workers who identify as lesbian or gay. It discusses the importance of anti-discriminatory practice with lesbian and gay clients in a range of practice settings, looking specifically at work with children and families, vulnerable adults and offenders.

Sexuality and Social Work - Bywater and Jones
A very well written book, with good clear, concise information. I enjoyed reading this book. The chapters and excercises within, were easy to understand and follow. However, some areas of the book lacked further elaboration, which was a pity. The book allow's the student room for further argument and leaves the reader ready to use the information from further argument, to support and underpin their own arguments, values and beliefs around sexuality within social work. I would strongly recommend this book to fellow students. Mags, 3rd year S/work student.
