Not too keen on this
I am using "Happy Times" at a kindergarten in Taiwan at the moment and frankly, it is way below the ability of my elementary students. The ready-made lesson PPP plans are actually fine but they stymie me by often beginning with: "Talk to the students in their own language about . . ." How many prospective TEFL teachers arrive at their destination knowing any of the country's language? Not many, my experience seems to indicate.
In a wider context, the CDs which are part of the HT package are too fast for the learners, which I find is true across the whole of the range of products we use. If there are too many components (for example, with HT there is a picture album), the schools may decide not to buy them, in which case you are stuck because you do not have all of the necessary materials (and may not have any idea what can be a suitable substitute). My advice to the publisher would be to make the teacher's manual larger by adding in any components (like the picture album) which the school may decide not to bother buying. Life would be a lot easier for the teacher then!
