A "must have" for those new to Soil Mechanics
This is by far the best and most helpful Soil Mechanics book I have ever read. I have never found it to be short of an answer on any area of basic Soil Mechanics.
Ideas and principles are explained clearly and concisely at a level at which those new to the subject will easily be able to follow. These first principles are then followed up at a greater depth.
Diagrams are plentyful and example questions together with case studies of Soil Mechanics problems appear at the end of every chapter.
For students and those trying to get to grips with Soil Mechanics I cannot think of a more desireable and friendly text.
