The Gruffalo - a book for every child's library!!
Absolutely fabulous book for both children and adults alike. My 2-year old son insists on this book being read to him every night. I was a bit wary at first as I thought it would be scary for him - how wrong could I be - he just loves it and so do I - we all get rather carried away with the different voices of the various animals the little mouse visits during his trip through the 'Deep Dark Wood' until he meets the Gruffalo.....
Brilliantly written and wonderfully illustrated - I can thorougly recommend this great rhyming tale to any child (and adult) with imagination!!
Fantasic bedtime story for toddlers and older kids alike
My daugher (3) loved this book immediately. It is about a mouse who goes on a journey through the woods and is confronted by 3 animals who all want to eat him and he comes up with a story that he is meeting an imaginary Gruffalo to scare them off. An excellent book for children with rhyming text and wonderful illustrations. I went on to buy a lot more of Julia Donaldson's books and am not dissapointed!
Scrambled snake
This utterly engaging contemporary childrens' classic has now been made into a robust and wipeable board book. For the price this is a great buy, and should be part of every child's personal library. The superb illustrations are simply the icing on a delicious cake.
