Editorial Reviews
Synopsis
This revision of a widely adopted critical edition presents the 1847 text of Emily Bronte's British Victorian novel along with critical essays that read "Wuthering Heights" from four contemporary perspectives: psychoanalytic, Marxist, feminist, and cultural studies. The text and essays are complemented by contextual documents and illustrations (new), introductions with bibliographies, and a glossary of critical and theoretical terms.

Got more than what I expected
I bought this book to provide research for one of my University assignments, and I discovered that the actual novel 'Wuthering Heights' is included in this book, which I felt wasn't made clear in the product description. However, this is not necessarily a negative, as it means the book is better value for money, as with many academic books, it is a little pricey.
With regards to the novel itself, I was very dissapointed, as it is regarded as a classic English novel, but I couldn't connect with it, as I didn't find the characters likable at all- Cathy and Heathcliffe are in my opinion awful people, but are the centre of the novel, so I found it hard to enjoy a novel based around two people so awful.
The critical essays in the book, did end up being useful for me, so I was pleased with the book, just not the novel.
