Excellent stuff
Brian Lecomber writes like Alistair Maclean.
Personally, I like the style. very easy to read without masses of characters to get lost over.

You don't need top understand aeroplanes or flying to understand his books.
He gives an excellent presentation about flying if you are lucky enough to get to one.
An excellent read in my view.
