Synopsis
Julie Sheldon trained for 15 years to fulfil her longing to be a ballerina. Chosen for a coveted place at the Royal Ballet School, she realised a dream by dancing at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden with Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev. Then things began to go wrong - a fall during rehearsal, a skiing accident, meningitis and finally the diagnosis of Dystonia, a rare neurological disease. Julie's Christian faith was tested to her limit. This book tells her story and the story of her dramatic healing.

About the Author
Julie Sheldon is a former ballet dancer, miraculously healed from dystonia. She lives near Sevenoaks with her husband Tom and teenage daughters Mimi and Georgie. Her other book ONE STEP AT A TIME tells the moving story of Georgie's diagnosis with a malignant brain tumour.

Customer Reviews

This is a truly remarkable story.5
This is an excellent book. I found it very interesting particularly as I had neurological symtpoms at the time of reading it (4yrs ago). I have now been diagnosed with dystonia. Thank you Julie , your book is an inspiration to all sufferers. With regards , Lorna Neave.

Moving and inspiring5
This book was recommended to me by a family friend, who knew I had been to the same ballet school as Julie - I remembered her well for her dancing and amazing piano playing, and was very sorry to hear she had been so ill. I immediately got a copy of the book and was very moved by her faith, determination and sheer guts. I have since sent a copy to two friends, who have been plagued by various illnesses, to encourage them that there IS light at the end of the tunnel.
