A good introductory book for using essential oils at home
I bought this book when I began trainning as an aromatherapist and had no prior knowledge and found it the most helpful as some of the A-Z encyclopedia aromatherapy books can be daunting to a beginner. It is easy to read and understand with sections on how to massage, the properties of 40 individual oils, basic principles and safety, using base oils, Bach Flower Remedies and it gives plenty of recipes for massage, baths and compresses to help many common ailments. There is also a section on pregnancy, childbirth and children. It uses the more popular oils so you don`t have to buy alot of expensive oils to begin. I would recommend this small, but comprehensive book to anyone who has an interest in aromatherapy and wants to begin using oils at home.
This is a stunning way to get started with Aromatherapy
This book gives a history of Aromatherapy, explains how oils are extracted, provides information on buying, storing and using the oils, lists the oils and their various useful applications, discusses circulation, digestion, muscles and joints, skin and hair, women's problems, pregnancy/childbirth/babies/children, and where to go should you require professional training. It is methodically set out with easy to read chapters. Do not be without it!
Excellent for students
A fabulous book - an absolute must if you are studying aromatherapy. It gives a good breakdown of treatable conditions for each specific oil, as well as basic massage routine, and other suggested uses. My bible - couldn't be without it.
