Average customer review:Product Description
Basil Hume, Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, was an outstanding and much-loved religious leader. His death at the age of 76 saddened not only the Catholic Church but the whole Christian community. Although first and foremost a Roman Catholic , and a Benedictine monk, who never compromised the reality of his own faith, his obvious authority and holiness was felt and acknowledged generally. This anthology represents his teaching in a compact and beautiful gift volume.

Customer Reviews
In my own words by the late Cardinal Basil Hume
As an Anglican I treasure my copy. There is so much wisdom and comfort in its few pages allowing one the priviledge of sharing this quite amazing man's spirituality. I love the down to earth language and the simplicity of getting an idiot like me to understand what for me were uneccessarily complicted issues and now so wonderfully understandable.
I beg anybody reading this review just to read Basil Hume's observations. For instance my favourite is " Perhaps one of the high points in prayer is where two silences meet......and words get in the way". I used to get stuck for originality in prayer and now I simply do not.
Even if you do not believe in God I am sure this book's goodness will be a blessing and might well lead on to other things.
