An entertaining romp around London4
The feisty northern heroine comes to London to seek out a con-artist who has ripped her off and swears to get her own back. It takes longer and is much more violent than she could ever have expected, but she's assisted by a mysterious and seductive mini-cab driver who turns out to be embroiled in some dodgy underworld business; their relationship blossoms...eventually. Comedian Marc Blake has once again turned his literary skills to good use. This reads like a witty and well-researched travel guide around London (and south Manchester) - immensely satisfying when you recognise parts you know well. I'd suggest you read it on a beach, well away from some of the more unpleasant characters that litter his work. Will invoke a few chuckles, but not for the faint-hearted or squeamish.

I want to buy the film rights!5
Excellent plot with well researched (?) characters. Captures the seediness of underworld London and the determination of the Northern, female character determined not put up wi' it. It would make a brilliant film.
